Consulting Services The St. Louis Consultation Center provides consultation services to clients and religious superiors. Both telephone consultation and case reviews are provided without charge. These services are particularly helpful in the early stages of intervention or when a client has been evaluated at another facility and treatment alternatives are being considered. Housing Many religious communities prefer to utilize their own community's resources in the St. Louis area or to make arrangements with other local religious communities. If a superior prefers, the St. Louis Consultation Center staff will work directly with the client to locate appropriate housing. On-site Seminars The staff of the Consultation Center provides seminars and workshops tailored to the needs of specific groups or religious communities. If you would like information about these services, please contact the Clinical Director. Services for Clergy and Religious Who Have Completed Treatment at Other Facilities: Group Therapy The St. Louis Consultation Center provides weekly group therapy sessions for clergy, vowed men and women religious who have completed a treatment program at another facility. These sessions are particularly beneficial for those who need additional support, challenge, and nurturance to reinforce healthy patterns of behavior. Supplementary Services In addition to the Intensive Treatment Program, individual clients often require or request additional services. These may range from special focus groups that concentrate on areas such as sexuality or dependency issues to a variety of complex issues pertinent to religious or clerical life. In keeping with our commitment to meet the individual needs of each client, the St. Louis Consultation Center incorporates these related services into each client's core program according to his or her assessed needs. Training Institute The St. Louis Consultation Center periodically sponsors workshops on topics of interest to ordinaries, superiors, vicars, provincials, and professionals who work with clergy and religious. For information about dates and times of these presentations, contact Patricia Cashman, MA, LPC at the Consultation Center. |
